Radio City 96.7 are running a competition called "5 brides, 1 wedding".  Local couple, Lyndsay and James are in the final and are competing against 4 other couples to win a wedding.  The couple who raise the most money for the "Cash for Kids" charity in one week (Saturday 18th - Sunday 26th February) will win a wedding.

A new British Heart Foundation (BHF) store will be opening on Tueday 21st February at 98-112 The Hexagon.

The local press will be invited to the store opening and the Mayor of Sefton Council, Councillor Paul Cummins will also be in attendance.  Lots of entertainment will be provided and giveaways on the day!

Two lucky members of staff at the Virgin Media store have won some fantastic prizes including a holiday to Las Vegas due to exceeding their sale targets.

The team at Virgin Media have had an extremely successful year based on their sales on Media and Mobile.  In 2011, the store beat their target by the highest percentage in comparison to other stores throughout the country.  Virgin Media Head Office then rewarded their highest achieving staff with some unbelievable prizes.

Brett Gill, Assistant Manager of the Bootle store won a Barcelona trip, V-Festival tickets and £500 holiday vouchers in 2011.  Paul Knight, Manager of the Bootle store, has won a Skiing holiday for 2012!  In addition, both Brett and Paul will be jetting off to Las Vegas in March for a 4-night holiday due to their achievements!

Ann Potter of Bootle entered into a FREE prize draw competition that was featured on a flyer provided by Strand Shopping Centre.  Ann was picked out of the prize draw and won the competition!

The prize draw competition enabled the winner to choose a store at Strand Shopping Centre to receive £100 vouchers from.  Ann decided on the retailer, Argos and received her £100 voucher from Bob Greenhalgh, the Centre Manager of Strand Shopping Centre yesterday (19th December 2011).

“I am delighted to have won the competition, I never normally win anything.  I have already reserved some Christmas presents at Argos to use my voucher on.  I would like to thank Strand Shopping Centre for this” said Ann, collecting her prize yesterday.

Not only did children take part in some ghostly events this Halloween at Strand Shopping Centre, but they also joined in with a Halloween Fancy Dress Competition and a very cute applicant charmed the judges of the competition and won.  

On Saturday 29th October, local children were invited to the Centre to show off their creepy costumes as well as get their faces painted at the Pumpkin House!  Max Speilmann set up their photographic studio in the centre, and took pictures of all the entrants in their freaky fancy dress costumes.  Every entrant received a complimentary 6’x4’ photo and a Halloween goody bag.  

Leah, the winner of the competition won a family photo shoot and a complimentary 20’x16’ framed photograph.  Leah and her family picked up their prize from Max Spielmann and Bob Greenhalgh, Strand Shopping Centre’s Centre Manager.

The Charity, Ykids, have raised £250 in the centre recently from a variety of events including a bath of beans and painting the Mural.
